About DJ Tommy |
First and foremost, I love music. I grew up playing piano and singing in choir and theater. I wore my Sony Discman to dust listening to Stevie Wonder, Britney Spears, and blink-182 before bed each night.
I saved up to buy a 20 GB iPod (the spinning hard drive kind) and used it until the click wheel stopped responding. Then I dissected it. During summers, I'd marathon a VH1 series called “I Love the 80s” and its many spinoffs, filling my mind to the brim with pop culture and music from every decade. I graduated from Arizona State with a degree in chemistry and had my fair share of ethanol along the way, refining my signature playlists to fit the mood for whatever party my buddies and I were hosting. Needing a little less sunshine in my life after graduation, I moved to Los Angeles and attended concerts and festivals as often as I could while working as a project manager in healthcare. Through my adventures, I learned to properly mix music, honed my craft DJing weddings and parties every weekend, and found a career where I fuse my passion for music, parties, and performance. Since 2015, I’ve worked everywhere from Los Angeles to Palm Springs and San Diego to Santa Barbara. Napa, Carmel, Joshua Tree, Sedona, Las Vegas and beyond. My time mixing chemicals in a lab has come to an end, but the world keeps spinning and so do I. |
As a Wedding DJA wedding is personal. I want to get to know you, hear about your family and friends, and how you want your reception and dance party to feel. I want to know what memories you're hoping to keep from your big day so I can gently guide the night in that direction and let things flow naturally from there.
I think it’s important to collaborate with your other vendors and I do my part to ensure that the timeline runs smoothly. I work hard to ensure that the part of your vision you've trusted me with comes to life. Whether I’m on the mic, behind the decks, or behind the scenes, I do my best to create a welcoming, fun atmosphere for you and your guests. |
